  • wicker + dried flowers. amen.

    I've gotten so many questions regarding this teeny little wicker bucket bag. I've had more comments on this purse in public than I would if I were in a clown suit. No joke, this thing is a showstopper, I guess? It was a little gift to myself for my birthday, and apparently it was a good choice! Everyone needs a lovely wicker number in their life. So I've attached a link to this exact one, as well as a few other similar ones for your shopping pleasure ;) Also! I have to explain myself on why this rack looks like a garden blew up on it... I don't have a very good explanation other than I'm the flower culprit. It's supposed to be a nice little rack for your hats and coats the moment you walk in our home, but then the dried floral hoarder in me used the rack as an opportunity to hang my little botanical friends. It's multiplying by the hour, I don't know what to do with myself! Bless my husband for dealing with ridiculous things like this :')
    Also, if you missed my newest print added to my site {pictured here}, you can shop it here!
    Shop some of my favorite woven bags here, similar here, here, here and here. Aaaand here. My bag is from here, but it's sold out :( & hoping they bring it back in stock!
    hope y'all had the springiest monday! xoxo celo
  • this post is mostly just about food. not sorry.

    pants are from here, top is from here
    a little update on life! i turned a year older over the weekend and still feeling weird about it. i feel like i just turned 18 yesterday, blinked, and i woke up 24. time is a reaaaal trick. i told andrew i simply wanted a home cooked meal with my family and nothing else for my birthday, because, ya know... i'm old and don't like gifts anymore.
    and of course, my lovely husband goes behind my back to plan the most elaborate trip we've ever done together. few days before, i came home from costco with arms full of groceries and walked up to a letter attached to my front door written "Celeste, open immediately!! Don't wait!!", so naturally I obeyed and used my only free ligament - pinky finger - to open this letter while holding 20 lbs of groceries. I don't mess around with "don't wait!!" 's, y'all. This was followed by the cutest scavenger hunt that had me running around my house, sweating, ultimately leading to a letter with a photo of the Austin skyline.
    {the closest you can get to banzai bowls in austin!}
    you would think andrew and i hadn't had a meal in months by the way we ate this weekend. with an obligatory voodoo doughnuts stop with loaded cereal toppings and i won't even mention how many times we stopped at the sonoran hot dog food truck - i'm almost positive andrew's veins are pumping with sonoran fever 24/7. then more donuts, more food trucks, lots of giant slices of pizza from one of the best joints on South Congress, acai bowls... i'm gaining back those 15 pounds of food as i type this, so i'll stop there.
    taken in the Uncommon Antiques shop located on SoCo.
    i got tons of questions about my dress! i got it here & my necklace here
    for those who have asked, i am 5'3" and this dress hit right above my knees. it's meant to fit loose & baggy, totally my type of dress. my brother-in-law gives me a hard time every now and then and always compliments my "burlap sack", {aka almost all the dresses i own} haha. this was taken on our pit stop to austin at the magnolia market in waco because it's 100% necessary to visit every. dang. day. {also for those who asked, austin is just about a three hour drive from where we live in dallas!}
    it was the perfect dress for the 80 degree & sunny weather that day. if you're taller than me, you probably wouldn't want to wear this on a windy day... some luckies got a nice view of my under garments when the gusts of hurricane wind decided to play. hah!
    lastly, just throwin' this in here because hubbbbbba hubbbbaaaa. also because i'm low-key very obsessed with ginormous cacti.
    love y'all! til next time ;)

    i'm a huge fan of supporting local & shopping small. wrexil's tie collection is one of my favorites {'cause we all know it's more fun when the wife dresses the husband}, andrews praaactically begging for every last one of them now ;). and the cherry on top, they're made in the usa. use the code: celestecclark to save $10 off on all orders over $50! the boho top i'm wearing from them is also on sale now, so.. double your welcome. happy shoppin', y'all!

  • little things

    welcome to my happy studio corner!

    since the moment we've moved, we have had family visit town & work took over our schedules. i'm slowly unboxing each room and making it a home again. the last room just so happens to be my studio space. i plan to share what i did with the rest of my space, but i thought showing this little peek would make you excited with me to organize the rest of the 10 storage boxes filled with my art supplies.... :')

    i wanted to keep it light and uncluttered. this is nearly impossible as an artist since we need and use so many tools and materials, but i'm making it happen! i didn't want to desert the walls, either. the lovelies at Max Wagner Print Shop gifted this amazing Joshua Tree print to me, and I knew immediately that it belonged in no other place than my drawing nook. the simplicity of this print speaks volumes and fits the aesthetic i try to maintain. i hold the desert near to my heart, so i thought this print truly spoke to me and will be so gorgeous to stare at during my work hours.

    a dear friend of mine & my husband's is responsible for these fabulous macrame planters. i challenged Shelby from Bonfire Heart to make a triple and double planter, and she didn't hesitate to get right to work. i am so impressed by her whimsical weaving patterns and the perfectly messy tassels that give these hangers so much personality. they're also ginormous! basically taller than i am, and that made my teeny heart soar. it's the little (or ginormous) things that make me happy. i originally wanted to hang these in my kitchen for fruit, but i had to be selfish and steal them for my studio. they are the cherry on top! i basically live in this light-filled room, so it's important for me to feel comfortable and at home when i'm working up to ten hours a day in here. this corner is already my favorite - i highly suggest shopping these two darling shops to make you feel the same about your living space!

    i hope to share more soon as our home unfolds. happy weekend, friends! and happy march :) {the birth month of spring & myself!}
